This qualification is aimed at individuals who would like to increase their knowledge and gain a qualification in substance misuse.

Topics covered
These include understanding substance use/misuse, how to recognise and respond to substance use/misuse, the safe, sensible and social use of alcohol, options and interventions for those affected by substance use/misuse, understanding solvents and volatile substance abuse and blood-borne infections related to substance use/misuse.

Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
